Phil sadly passed away on August 25, 2000. He was born on October 14, 1951. Phil was in my reg with Mrs. Cunningham. I didn’t know Phil well but I could see that he enjoyed taking part in school services very much and running for student elected offices; taking every opportunity he could.
First met Phil Buchanan bowling in the Saturday morning bantam league (junior high school-age) at Westlake Bowl. Even then, he was clearly The Southpaw Sensation. I encourage those interested to read my 8/3/2014 Bel Mateo Bowl yelp* review, which in essence commemorates Phil (RIP).--Paul

I heard he had become a professional bowler.
Ronald Justin Jr Bowerman (1969)
Not surprised. He was our best bowler on the team/club-often scoring 200+

We sat in alphabetical order. I often sat right behing Phil Buchanan. I noticed his good character.
