Dr. Rachelle Marie Tyler M.D., age 63, of Los Angeles, California, passed away peacefully on July 6th 2015, at 10:50 pm in the Ronald Reagan Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. Born November 25, 1951, in Houston, Texas, she was the first born baby girl of Raymond Tyler (deceased) and Ella M. Tyler. Attended Lowell High School in San Francisco, CA and received a BA from Mills College in Oakland, CA then went on to graduate from Boston University School of Medicine in 1977. She worked in Los Angeles, CA specialized in Pediatrics was affiliated with Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and Santa Monica UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Rachelle Tyler was the Director of the UCLA Early Head Start program and Chief of Pediatric Developmental Studies at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA She is survived by her mother Ella Marie Tyler of San Francisco, CA brother Ronald T. Tyler of Hercules, CA sister Bernadette C. Tyler of San Francisco, CA nephews Jabari and Onaje Tyler of Northern California. Dr. Tyler is predeceased by her father Raymond Tyler of Pacifica, CA. Services will be held on July 30th 2015 with Visitation from 9:30 am-12:30 pm, Rosary from 10:30 am-12:00 pm, A Mass of Christian Burial Rites will be celebrated at 1:00 pm, and a Reception will follow.
